Integrated Emergency Response of WASH in Sana’a and Albayda governorates
Alatta for Relief and Development completes activities of WASH project in Al-Bayda Governorate in Alsawmaah and Maswarah districts , where following activities has been accomplished:
1- Rehabilitated and restored Shabthan water project.
• Constructed concrete water tank with capacity of 100 m3 .
• Installed main pumping line, in parallel installing the liquefaction lines.
• Constructed control room
•Finalized contracting procedures to supply and install solar energy unit
2- Rehabilitated and restored Ja’aer water project.
• Constructed concrete water tank with capacity of 75 m3 .
• Installed main pumping line, in parallel installing the liquefaction lines.
• Constructed control room
•Finalized contracting procedures to supply and install solar energy unit
3- Rehabilitated and restored Maswarah water project.
• Constructed concrete water tank with capacity of 100 m3 .
• Installed main pumping line, in parallel installing the liquefaction lines.
• Constructed control room
•Finalized contracting procedures to supply and install solar energy unit
4. Conducted water tests to eight water sources in water in Alsawmaah and Maswarah districts.
5. Launching cash-for-work activity to implement 200 drainage holes in Shabthan.
6. Train tow community committees in Maswarah and Ja’ae.
7. 300 water filters and hygiene kits will be distributed after the names of families whose children or women suffer from severe malnutrition are collected and sorted.
8. Trained 20 volunteers on the six health messages and more than 8,000 beneficiaries were awareness raised on four messages which are (hand washing, water purification, non-defecation in the open, personal hygiene.
