Health Benefits
To promote health, keep the Yemen safe and serve the vulnerable groups.
Our goal is to ensure that Yemeni people have more access to health services, more protect in health emergencies, and provide a further with better health care and well-being.
Education
Our program objective is to create better education opportunities to all affected communities across the country. Around 4.7 million children need education assistance. An estimated 2000 schools are unfit for use due to the conflict. Support is needed to provide these children with temporary learning spaces (TLS) and alternative learning opportunities.
WASH
ARD considers water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) an essence to improve health, environment, and empowering people in Yemen to have access to quality water supply and sanitation services.
Protection
Our program objective is to offer better protection opportunities to all affected persons and communities across the country. Yemeni civilians face serious risks to their safety, well-being and basic rights. Around 14.4 million people need protection assistance including children and women that suffer from exploitation, harassment and gender-based violence (GBV).
Emergency Relief
Yemen currently has the greatest level of humanitarian needs in the world. According to a December report, nearly 16 million people don’t have enough to eat and are in urgent need of emergency assistance. The conflict has resulted in over 10,000 deaths and two million people displaced, looking for shelter from disease and violence.
Current Openings
Orientation Training
When you join ARD as a staff, you are invited to a one-week induction training in the HQ in Sana’a to prepare you departure to the field. During this training, you will meet your supervisors and focal points at the headquarters and attend a presentation of the different ARD departments and their respective procedures and tools. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a two-day personal security and safety training, which will allow you to understand and familiarize yourself with the main principles of safety and security management on humanitarian grounds.

ARD favors the long-term commitment of staff, for enhanced impact and sustainability, through career development where staff are offered opportunities to take up new challenges and grow within the organization.
ARD sets up regular performance appraisals, which will allow you to get feedback from your line manager on your work, and discuss achievement of objectives, upcoming milestones and means to do so. During these assessments, you can also discuss your career development wishes.
Throughout your mission and time with ARD, you will benefit from a follow-up by the mobility unit of ARD’s Human Resources Department. You will be contacted before the end of each contract to exchange on your perspectives and wishes in order to build your career within ARD, with new opportunities, including taking up new functional challenges, moving to another geographical area, as well as new positions and experiences.
